Where do you return a rental car at CVG?

The Rental Car Center is inside the terminal, next to Ground Transport West and steps from Baggage Claim; the rental counters are one floor down from Baggage Claim.

Getting there from the terminal (picking up a car)

Walk from baggage claim: follow the terminal signs for Ground Transport West to the Rental Car Center. No shuttle is needed.

Returning the car and getting to the terminal

The airport says rental car drop-off takes place at the same Rental Car Center inside the terminal, so there is no shuttle to the terminal after you return the car. The airport's page does not describe the drive-in route for returns, and the rental companies' own return instructions were not checked. There is no parking for personal vehicles at the rental car center: if you leave your own car to pick up a rental, park in one of the CVG lots and walk or take the shuttle to Ground Transport West.
